Chief Executive Officer

Jenny Moore

Jenny is the Chief Executive Officer and has overall responsibility for the operations of the Central Queensland Local Government Association.


The CEO role includes:

  • Implementation of strategic plans and policies as established by the CQLGA Management Committee.
  • With the CQLGA President, enable the CQLGA Management Committee to fulfil its governance function.
  • Give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organisation's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives.
  • Promote collaboration with and among the association's members to address the needs of members and the mission and goals of the association.
  • Act as the spokesperson for the association.
  • Serve as ambassador for the association to relevant organisations - local, state, and nationally

Qualifications:  BA (Hons), Geography and Asian Studies , Graduate Diploma of Education, Secondary Teaching,  Grad Certificate Public Sector Management

Operations Manager

Michelle Roberts

The Operations Manager along with the Chief Executive Officer forms the leadership team of the Central Queensland Local Government Association (CQLGA).  Michelle's role ensures the operational functions of CQLGA are run effectively and efficiently so as to support the association’s achievement of its strategic objectives.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Communication (with Distinction)

·         Diploma of Teaching (Primary)

·         Associate Certificate of Applied Management

·         Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training

 

Office Coordinator

Trudy Mallyon

Trudy is responsible for coordinating the physical and administrative environment for effective and smooth operations of the office.

Qualifications:  Cert IV in Workplace Assessment and Training, Cert IV in Business Administration (Frontline Management), Diploma Business, Diploma of Management 

 

Accountant

Vikki Wheeler

 

Vikki is a CPA and fulfils the role of Accountant on a part time basis.  She is responsible for the financial aspects of the organisation.  

Qualifications:  Bachelor of Business (Accounting), Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)

Senior EarthSmart Schools Officer

Nina Curtis

Nina is a part time employee. Her role leads the implementation of the EarthSmart Schools education program that fosters positive behavioural change to reduce waste to landfill within Central Queensland schools. 

Nina's position is funded by BMA as part of the EarthSmart Schools program.

 

EarthSmart Schools Officer

Kirsty Mcleod

Kirsty is a part time employee. Her role assists in implementing the EarthSmart Schools education program that fosters positive behavioural change to reduce waste to landfill within Central Queensland schools. 

Kirsty's position is funded by BMA as part of the EarthSmart Schools program.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Learning Management (Current)

Project Officer (towardZero)

Dory Hickey

Dory is a full time employee. She is responsible for delivering the 'towardZero - reducing waste at work program'. This program is funded through the Australian Packaging Covenant to support small and medium size businesses to uncover opportunities to enhance efficiency and save money by improving recycling and waste management in the workplace.

Qualifications:  Certificate IV Training & Assessment, Bachelor of Education & Training, Diploma of Teaching, Postgraduate Cert of Education - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

Administration Assistant

Karan Calwell

Karan is responsible for providing a high level of administrative support to the organisation. 

Qualifications: Cert II in Business
