Recycling On Show Through Castaway Art

Across CQ, artists got behind the EarthSmart message, with 85 entries received for the Castaway Art competition, each portraying the theme of ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.’

One of the most exciting aspects of the 2012 competition was the overwhelming response from the region’s primary school aged participants.

CQLGA would like to thank all of the teachers and principals that got behind the Castaway Art Competition, resulting in such high quality entries from primary schools.

From scrap metal and plastics, to kitchen utensils and garden equipment, Central Queenslanders saved large quantities of items destined for landfill and turned them into something beautiful.
